25 Starbucks Malaysia volunteers travelled more than 350 KM to send love and support to 200 families from the Orang Asli Community in Kampung Desa Ria, Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak. We started our work before dawn, as Starbucks Volunteers assembled at Centre of HOPE worldwide Penang in Lintang Macallum 2, to load all the goods and products onto the bus, and off we embarked on our journey to Gerik.

Partnering with us for this Orang Asli Outreach Program was the Malaysia Pharmaceutical Society (MPS), where we have their medical team volunteer to provide health care services for the community. Besides, we provide groceries, and organize interactive activities and games to engage 100 children and youths.

With this, we want to thank Dato Sydney Quay, the CEO of Berjaya Food Berhad, who led his management staff in this CSR volunteerism initiative and has supported our causes in HOPE worldwide Malaysia for the past 20 years.

Here we look forward to unfolding more exciting chapters with Starbucks Malaysia in the coming years!
